A little system that remembers who introduced us β and what came of it.
Bob is a network management system (NMS) I built for myself β a memory for the network I care about. Investors, founders, friends, clients, professors, former colleagues, friends-of-friends, "the person someone swore I had to meet."
Similar tools (CRM) are built to sell to people. Bob is built to keep up with them, and to help me authentically connect over time. It tracks the things that actually matter in a relationship: who connected us, what came of it, when we last spoke, what help they need or what's on their mind, and who I should reach out to next.
"I keep meaning to introduce those two."
Bob runs in the background. I just talk to it, and it does the filing.
I text Bob over WhatsApp like a friend: "met Sam at the dinner, Lia intro'd us." It also reads my calendar and inbox to catch the intros I forgot to log.
Every morning Bob fills in the blanks (title, company, LinkedIn, city) and researches the gaps. It flags anything it's unsure about instead of guessing.
Bob maps the whole network: who knows whom, which communities cluster together, who my super-connectors are. Then it nudges me toward the next good hello, and the introductions I should be making.
No app to open, no forms. I text Bob like a friend β it logs new people, sends a weekly digest of what it captured and what needs my eyes, and nudges me toward the people I've gone cold on.
Add or update anyone with a single WhatsApp message β no app, no form, no laptop.
Tracks intros I've received and the ones I've made, so giving and getting both stay visible.
Bob looks for the high-value intros I haven't made yet: "you know someone raising, and someone who'd back her β worth connecting?" My connector instinct, at scale.
Spots the people who introduce me to 2+ others in a rolling 90 days, the quiet hubs worth thanking.
Shows who I owe a thank-you and who I've championed, so my relationships stay balanced, never one-sided.
Watches my last real conversation with each person and surfaces the ones slipping away.
An interactive view of communities, leaderboards, and click-to-detail profiles.
Writes a reconnect note in my own voice, grounded in our real shared history, and thank-you notes that capture what a connection led to.
Bob draws the network as a living map: people cluster into communities, the hubs glow, and clicking anyone opens their story.
When an introduction turns into something real, Bob keeps track. Once enough has added up for one person, it drafts a note to whoever opened that door, counting what their intros actually became. I decide when it goes. Here's a real one, with every name and detail changed.
Sam β
Looking back over this past year, you stood out. You've personally introduced me to nine people β one of only two who've connected me to that many. A couple that really stuck:
You never do transactional intros β every one came with context and a "you two will really get along" that kept being right.
So β thank you. Tell me who you're trying to reach next, and grab any time that works:

I teach, I consult, and I invest: three careers running at once, and every one of them runs on people. Founders, students, operators, fellow investors, the friends who connect me to all of them. Over the years that's added up to a lot of relationships across a lot of different rooms. The relationships are the job. But the tools for keeping up with them were either glorified sales pipelines or a tangle of half-remembered email threads. Nothing knew the story: who introduced whom, what an intro turned into, who I owed a thank-you.
So I built the thing I actually wanted. Bob doesn't try to sell anyone anything. It just helps me be a better friend, connector, colleague, and investor, to show up for the people who show up for me, and to never let a good introduction go unanswered.
And the best part: I built it conversationally, with Claude Code, piece by piece. No engineering team, no SaaS subscription. Just me describing what I wished existed, and watching it come to life.
Of everything AI could help with, this is what I wanted it pointed at: human relationships. It's the connective tissue between people, who knows whom, who vouched for whom, what came of it, that makes relationships interesting. And relationships don't hold still. People move, roles shift, the thread between two people deepens or goes quiet. You can't evolve that narrative unless you keep up with it.
I wanted a tool that protects that, not one that replaces it.
A few tools & a lot of conversations.
I'm opening Bob up to a small alpha β a handful of people who live and breathe their networks and want a memory that keeps up. You bring the relationships; Bob does the remembering.
It's early and hands-on: I onboard each person myself, so spots open a few at a time. Drop your email and I'll reach out when the next one does.
There's also a plugin you can install today. It finds the introductions already in your mail and shows you who your connectors are. Free, open source, runs on your own machine β see what it does →
No spam, no pitch β just a note from me when a spot opens.
I could talk all day about how we keep up with the people in our lives (staying close to your network, tending real relationships, and finding the version of "networking" that actually feels authentic), and how to build human-forward agentic systems that bring value to your everyday. If that's your thing too, reach out.
